Hi Team,
Team CSR had an awesome weekend! I am so impressed with the performances, and it was thrilling watching Darren, Sylvie, Rick, Leslie, and Mike P dig deep at IMCdA! Hats off to Darren (11th), Leslie (6th), and Sylvie (14). Sylvie ran by me 6 miles into the marathon and stated that she was going to run the entire marathon. Many of you who have done an Ironman know how hard that task is, but she did it.
Was incredible to see how committed our athletes were on the run. I have not seen Darren in that much discomfort ever. Rick was such a trooper out there, running most of the marathon and racing to his limit on the day (never stopped and kept racing no matter what). Leslie was a rock, just missing a top-5 placing and nearly a Kona slot. She was so strong on the marathon… impressive. Mike P was in great spirits considering his limited leg blood flow and ran when he could. Lisa also placed top 10 in Ironman France with an incredible and personal triumph run, well under 4 hours! It is so exciting to hear of all the stories.
In Edmonton, we had great success as well with many podium finishes and Team Canada qualifiers! The day sounded fantastic, and I will go through the results today! Well done to you all who raced hard!
