Our COVID-19
Protocols and Policy

We look forward to welcoming athletes back to camp in 2022! As the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we have implemented protocols to strive for our camp events to be as safe as possible for both athletes and staff, and to minimize and reduce risk from COVID-19. We will be following CDC and Solvang City COVID-19 response guidelines during each camp session. Please check back here for updates to our COVID-19 protocols and policy so you know what to expect at camp and the protocols we will be following to minimize the COVID-19 risk.

OUR STAFF:

  • Our staff are fully vaccinated.

PRE-CAMP:

  • We require non-vaccinated camp athletes to get tested 72-hours before day-one of the camp --ideally before you start your travel to camp.

  • COVID-19 risk and liability waiver: Pre-camp, we require each camp athlete to acknowledge that they have read and adhere to our COVID-19 policy and protocols outlined on this page, and accept all risks associated with COVID-19 in participating in all camp activities during their chosen camp week.

  • If before your trip you are feeling any COVID-19 symptoms (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea), please don't attend camp unless you can demonstrate a negative COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to travel. If you have a COVID-19 positive test, then we are unable to have you attend camp and can, in this instance due to COVID-19, offer a full refund or roll over your camp fee to a future camp.

AT CAMP:

  • Support vehicles: We require all staff and athletes using the support vehicles to wear a mask.

  • Meals: Our meal times will be outside as much as possible. In the case of inclement weather, we will move to inside. Taking your meal to your own room to practice a more social distance meal time is an option, if you prefer.

  • Hand sanitizers: These will be available in all support vehicles, at the pre-ride nutrition table, and all training sessions. We encourage use of hand sanitizers and good handwashing hygiene where possible throughout your camp experience.

  • Training sessions - flexibility and change: Our goal is to give each camp athlete and staff the best camp experience possible. To do this within the local city and CDC guidelines, we may need to make changes to our planned camp itineraries both before camp and during the camp week as dictated by COVID-19 restrictions and protocols of both facilities that we use and the city/CDC guidelines. This may mean omitting swim training as part of your camp experience. Please know we will strive have each camp include all planned training activities, but ultimately we will be guided by the COVID-19 requirements of the local facilities.

  • Symptoms at camp: If a person attending camp develops COVID-19 symptoms, then they will need to self-isolate and will be requested to get a COVID-19 test and a negative result before re-joining camp activities.

CANCELLATION POLICIES SPECIFIC TO COVID-19:

If in the 72 hours prior to your camp you have a COVID-19 positive test, or are restricted in travel due to needing to self-isolate due to exposure to COVID-19, or are restricted due to a travel ban implemented due to COVID-19, then we can for reasons specific to COVID-19, offer a roll over your camp fee to a future camp.
